In Germany, spend a night in an igloo

This "100-day hotel" located in the Bavarian Alps offers a stay in a place whose indoor temperature is around zero degrees. Experience possible until April 8th.

For couples, the choice is "the romantic igloo" or for more comfort, "the romantic igloo", which has private bathrooms. To find the services of a luxury establishment, "the romantic igloo suite" offers a private Jacuzzi.

Finally, for those who are tempted by the concept but fear the atmosphere close to that of a freezer, "hot igloo" is a compromise. Composed of tent canvas, the space retains the shape of the dome but with the benefits of an ordinary hotel, with first, the heating (a stove) and a double bed. After a moment in the arms of Morpheus and head in the stars, tea will be served without having to go out of his sleeping bag as soon as the sun comes.

2000 tons of snow needed

All "rooms" are equipped with expedition sleeping bags that can withstand temperatures of up to -40 degrees, in a decoration by artists and whose theme changes each year. This year it is baroque.

The price, which starts at 119 € per person depending on the ephemeral dwelling chosen, includes a visit to the igloos, dinner (a cheese fondue), tea after dark, a night walk, and the use The sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi, as well as the breathtaking view of the mountains.

These igloo villages, which are also located in Switzerland and Andorra, are defined as "100-day hotels" because they melt with the arrival of good weather and are rebuilt every winter. They each require more than 2000 tons of snow and 3000 hours of work.
